As I figured out, the boot process of arm devices is a mouch different from x86-based ones: Here can't be a "code" just loaded into the start of the memory, because that's partitioned by the exceptions. (please correct me when I'm not right)

So how is the boot process on arm going by standard?

As I see, the ROM first searches for a file on a given partition (bootcode.bin in the most famous embedded systems).

But what partition do it find for and how?

For ex. where is documented the supported filesystems?
