Why do I get "A synced attribute ('authname' for #<User nick="Dwarf">) has not been available for 20 seconds, still waiting" and how do I make sure it doesn't happen? Do I just catch "Cinch::Exceptions::SyncedAttributeNotAvailable"?

could be that the server doesn't support authnames

It does, but I believe it checks with /whois, which is prone to fake-lag on some servers

i have had sync errors before, and I just ignore them, and they eventually sync up
