<DonaldDuck> Well you have a invalid argument in your write command ;)

<DonaldDuck> EduardoIbarra try with no space after > which will look like >/sys/class etc... Sometime some shell take the space as a character. Also check your uid permission to do so.
dwirc has joined #cubieboard
<EduardoIbarra> same result. it seems to be something related to a some more low-level thing. Am I required to modify the script.bin in order to export a gpio?
<EduardoIbarra> also, there is a strange behavior on the cubietruck (compared to the cubieboard2), I am getting 3.2v on pins from 1 to ~ 11. I have tested this on 3 cubietrucks
<DonaldDuck> From there can't help you, as you seems to know what you doing. I didn't try Cubietruck, I use only Cubieboard1 as all my prototype as to be power efficient.
<DonaldDuck> But on step one of your tutorial it say: modify script.bin
<DonaldDuck> So it's interesting to have you ask if you need to modify this script ;)

<utente> hi. on CB1 i have a problem: after 10 minutes, cubieboard turn off the monitor and i must press a key or move the mouse to turn it back on. to avoid the shut down of monitor, i already try the follow: A. echo 0 > /sys/class/graphics/fb0/blank. B. type "xset s off" and "xset s noblank" in terminal. Bot solution A and B didt solve the problem :( any suggestions?
<Turl> utente: try "xset -dpms"

<DonaldDuck> utente, I've been asking this question since 48 hours in the chat so far... Nobody answered
<DonaldDuck> As it's a important one for me, for producing in larger quantity my prototype.
<utente> DonaldDuck, mmm no reply sound as "bad reply" or "no attention to customers". did you try to write to support@cubieboard.org or some like that?
<ssvb> DonaldDuck: maybe it also makes sense to have a look at https://www.olimex.com/Products/OLinuXino/A10/A10-OLinuXino-LIME ?
<ssvb> DonaldDuck: it's out of stock at the moment though
<DonaldDuck> ssvb lol out of stock not a good sign to start with ;)
<ssvb> DonaldDuck: it must be quite popular so that the production is not keeping up :)

<DonaldDuck> utente that's a really strong French Accent lol
<ssvb> DonaldDuck: you can perhaps contact them and ask if it can work for you
<utente> juahah
<DonaldDuck> ssvb yeah will look it up.. For now the DVK521 is a big reason why I switch to Cubieboard: https://www.miniand.com/products/DVK521%20Baseboard

<DonaldDuck> Well you can get a 7$ usb HUB and solder it to the board and it's done ;)
<utente> DonaldDuck, there are professional solution and not-professional solution: your is not the first one.
<DonaldDuck> lol eeee I do that professionnally .... Remove the plastic case, clip it to the board. Desolder the hub connector on the main board, and solder the wire of the new one. Reroute the power to use a more powerfulone too.

Jachy has quit [Ping timeout: 246 seconds]
<fossxplorer> utente, hmm, what will that mean to us consumers? No more dev from Cubie's side?
<fossxplorer> radxarock doesn't have SATA connector :(
<utente> fossxplorer, as far as i can imagine, cubieboard family (1,2, truck) are what they are now: if no other develop in futute, ther are destinated to die in medium time. anyway, CB are good boards, so it cabe used many time in future, maibe ad second lebvel board (to do servers headless, controllers, etc).
<fossxplorer> utente, exactly what i fear too.
<utente> yes, i hown radxa and cubieboad, both has positive and negtive side. RK3188 has not internal sata eletronic, so CB wiull be better on this side despite is monocore. (A10)
<utente> fossxplorer, the important side is that they dont stop ptroduction, that form factor is a "winner key" in my eyes.
<utente> my preferred is A10 version.
<fossxplorer> Agree
<utente> A20 don t convince me totally.
<fossxplorer> But A10 is weak CPU wise, isn't it?
<utente> totally = in complete way
<fossxplorer> What's "bad" with A20 in your view?
ricardocrudo has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
<utente> A10=cortex-A8, A20=cortex-A7(x2)
<utente> but A8 is better than A7.
<fossxplorer> Hmm, i see
<utente> so it is not possible to say that A20 is ALWAYS better than A10 in ALL situations.
<fossxplorer> Yeah
<utente> ler say (in raw way): A10 is 486, A20 is dualcore 386.
<fossxplorer> :)
<fossxplorer> I have a Samsung Chrome Book with dual core A15, i love it.
<utente> if you have a monothread heavy task, then A10 is better than A20
<utente> if you have 2 middle average tasks, better A20
<fossxplorer> Yeah
<fossxplorer> I need it for server usage
<utente> me too
<utente> to me, cubieboard is a perfect platform
