dkubb: UUID is meant to behave like Serial for the :id key right?

dkubb: you set that is spec_helper right?

theCrab: you can do that, I usually set it globally in my rails apps within a config/initializers file

theCrab: UUID won't automatically set the UUID if one isn't provided, you need to define a default: proc { ... } to generate it. I believe UUIDTools provides a way to do it
