<lbovet> I have a datamapper resource with a serial id but I want to hide the id when mapping to json with to_json. Can someone help me?
<lbovet> Found : to_json(:exclude => [:id])

<gregf> hi, i'm using Episode.first_or_create to only add items that I have not stored into the database. I want to check if it was actually a new item and saved and output that it was added. So I tried puts "Added: blah blah blah" if ep.save. That seems to print regardless if the Episode is new or not though. Can someone give me a pointer to get my desired result. Thanks.
<gregf> nevermind see where I went wrong now, thanks anyways
