<azonenberg> sounds like IR something

<Sync> yeah
<Sync> everything was in a vacuum vessel
<Sync> with a HV valve and pirani gauge
<azonenberg> Hmm, definitely smells IR
<azonenberg> did it have labels?
<soul-d> mmm
<soul-d> some google person on "holiday" or somtjhing to north korea
<Sync> it says spectra physics
<Sync> the in and out windows are also at an angle
<azonenberg> well, that sure implies optical
<azonenberg> soul-d: ?
<soul-d> trying to find english source but sais eric shmidth fellah is gonna go their with som conspicous reasons :P like "humanirian " " personal "
<Sync> no shit, all that optic asshattery in there implies optics :P
<azonenberg> Sync: lol
<azonenberg> soul-d: hmm...
<azonenberg> wonder whats up

<hozer> UevtIVu2
<hozer> clear
<hozer> So what does it actually take to do a 1 micron mask
<azonenberg> hozer: at that scale you start wanting to look at chrome-on-glass
<azonenberg> or if you're cheap, projection litho using 10:1 reduction on a 10um mask
<hozer> so how does the chrome get removed.. laser?
<hozer> and where can I pick up a used chrome/glass photomask printer
<nmz787> hozer: no it gets etched off with an focused ion or electron beam
<nmz787> you could probably make something crude with an old CRT tv monitor
<nmz787> but that would be hard to do
<hozer> I'm thinking pickup up old equipment is the way to go
<nmz787> depends what you want to do
