<jnettlet>
Nilesh_, the Novena board is the only board I have using LVDS. I haven't been able to test it on the HummingBoard yet, and I don't have a Wandboard
<jnettlet>
is there something specific you have questions about? I know the graphics system quite well
<Nilesh_>
jnettlet: 've u used yocto 1.6
<jnettlet>
Nilesh_, I have used yocto, but I have no idea what version. I generally build from source
<Nilesh_>
jnettlet: i'm just trying to manupulate the device tree for LVDS, can you tell me in your case which files did you altered? or it was enabled by default
<jnettlet>
using 3.10.17?
<jnettlet>
Nilesh_, I think you can reference the SabreSD board. Let me check.
<jnettlet>
Nilesh_, it is actually the imx6q-sabrelite.dts that has the lvds definition under &ldb
<jnettlet>
hope that steers you in the right direction. I have to go run some errands
<Nilesh_>
jnettlet: yep thanks for your suggestion...:)...i'll explore that
<kroon>
fwiw, im using wandboard + lvds display
<kroon>
3.10.17 kernel with modified dts
<Nilesh_>
:)
<Nilesh_>
kroon: hi
<Nilesh_>
kroon:I'm trying this manipulation in this folder(/bin/fsl-community-bsp/build/tmp/sysroots/wandboard-solo/usr/src/kernel/arch/arm$..) for LVDS ...is that rite?
<kroon>
Nilesh_, looks ok. for wandboard-solo, its the imx6dl-wandboard.dts that needs to be modified
<kroon>
Nilesh_, like jnettlet suggested, for inspiration, grep for "ldb" in one of the sabre dts files
<Nilesh_>
yep...
<Nilesh_>
kroon:dts files not seems to be opening....
<kroon>
oh, thats not the correct place to modify it though
<Nilesh_>
kroon:ok...i see..then where ?/
<kroon>
you need to either provide a patch for the kernel recipe, that modifies the dts, or you can use a bitbake devshell, modify the dts and test it
<kroon>
look in build/tmp/work/wandboard-solo/linux-*
<Nilesh_>
kroon: ok.....lemmm'c
<Nilesh_>
kroon: yep i found that linux-wandboard
<Nilesh_>
kroon: i don't know what to do there...can you pl help
<kroon>
Nilesh_, do "bitbake -c devshell linux-wandboard"
<kroon>
in that shell, perform any changes you want to do to the .dts, then do "make imx6dl-wandboard.dtb" in the top kernel dir
