11:31 <dv_> the performance issues probably come from some inefficiencies in the driver. v5 drivers fared much better, but they are beta quality.

15:31 <shogunx> what kernel source tree are you using on that? the first time I installed and dist-upgraded, boot hung on udev. i removed udev, so now it boots, but no X and no eth1 without udev. iirc, there are kernel options the newer udev needs that are not in compulabs kernel. i reinstalled, and did not dist-upgrade, but would still like to build a new kernel with the options udev needs.
