FYI I'm writing a GL ffmpeg scaling filter
<
paulk-leonov>
which runs on lima
<
paulk-leonov>
with devfreq using the highest frequency I can now get some nice results
<
paulk-leonov>
like < 2ms scaling for nv12 1080p to 720p

<

hey, are point sprites supposed to work in lima ?
<
marex>
I tried neverball and they are missing in those exit point
<
marex>
there should be stars in those if point sprites are working as they should
<
marex>
also, there seems to be some issue with reflection rendering, the main menu doesn't render the reflective surfaces correctly
<
marex>
I think that's implemented using face in some rather odd way
<
marex>
I ran into the exact same thing on etnaviv btw
<
anarsoul|2>
marex: nope
<
anarsoul|2>
you can enable lowering in mesa st
<
anarsoul|2>
it's not enabled atm because it's partially broken
<
marex>
anarsoul|2: the lowering is broken ?
<
marex>
anarsoul|2: I recall fixing something around it recently on etnaviv
<
marex>
anarsoul|2: f7dc0520d90 ("etnaviv: Fix point sprite Z,W coordinate replacement")
<
marex>
anarsoul|2: that's what etnaviv does
<
anarsoul|2>
feel free to fix it for lima :)
<
marex>
anarsoul|2: why do I have the feeling it won't be as simple as calling NIR_PASS_V(s, nir_lower_texcoord_replace,...) ?

I honestly have no idea what's broken in point sprites lowering for lima

not sure about reflections either, but apitrace would definitely help
<
marex>
anarsoul|2: the reflection is broken on etnaviv too, I want to look into that first

enunes: hey
<
anarsoul|2>
any idea what this bit could be?
<
enunes>
so far it's "the bit that the blob does not set for z16" :)
<
enunes>
maybe its the fact that that format doesnt have stencil?
<
enunes>
dont know, I'm open to suggestions if we want to change the condition there to unset it if we dont want to use the format name directly
<
anarsoul|2>
enunes: yeah, maybe

<

lgtm as long as it doesn't break anything
<
enunes>
just enabling the format broke some deqp tests as we already knew, then I discovered that bit and it unbroke the tests, so it seemed ok to me
