<xdarklight> the lima driver is about to be merged into mesa very soon (tm): https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/merge_requests/465
<xdarklight> (the kernel part is already queued for v5.2)
<ldevulder> xdarklight, good news!

<adema> xdarklight, its awesome for lima! So may boards that will finally see some upstream supports :)
<adema> has it been tested on le potato board?

<xdarklight> adema: yes, it's been tested on the Le Potato board (not by myself though)
<adema> do you know what is the current support?
<xdarklight> do you mean the features that the lima driver supports or the functionality/interfaces that are supported on the le potato board?
<adema> what lima supports
<xdarklight> the "best" overview that I'm aware of is: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/lima/web/wikis/home
<xdarklight> the most important "TODO" item is probably: "Build a piglit test result list so that we can start clear them one by one." (I my own words: bugs are to be expected, but they will get fixed at some point)

<narmstrong> Yuq the Lima developer has a Potato and tests regularly on it
<narmstrong> The current state is to have the basic to run X, wayland and some gbm stuff like kodi, but a lot is missing for Gles2 and even more to emulate some OpenGL and OpenGl2, but now it will come faster since the uapi for the driver is now fixed and upstream
<narmstrong> And developing on Mesa directly will be simpler

<adema> cool
<adema> personally i am interrested in kodi support
<adema> ideally with vpu decoder supports :P
<adema> by the way, is https://lkml.org/lkml/2019/4/1/482 planned for 5.2?
<The_Coolest> Have you looked at the Odroid N2?
<The_Coolest> or are you looking for mainline only?
<adema> mainline only
<The_Coolest> ah well then... I guess you'll be waiting for a while longer :p
<The_Coolest> Either way, the N2 blows everything currently out out of the water.
<adema> i could work with a custom kernel with patches, but that some guidance of which patchs to use and how to make it work
<The_Coolest> You can check out CoreELEC
<adema> need some*
<The_Coolest> Our GX* builds are on 3.14, but the N2 is on 4.9
