<warpme_> rah: just another data point with bifrost: i'm playing with it on sm1 tvbox. app. is mythtv. Current mesa master gives me v.good experience on g31: it is practically fully user usable. UI is smooth & stable. I would say overall experience is comparable with experience on panfrost/midgard on t820. (in fact only issue holding me with spread image to user beta-test audience is vdec playback issue like here:
<warpme_> http://warped.inet2.org/sample-bifrost-g31-hw-decode.mov btw: I still believe issue is about sm1 vdec - not bifrost ans the same artefacts i have on KODI). Any way - achievements of mesa team for bifrost is already _fantastic_ for me!

<rah> warpme_: I'm not interested in kodi, I'm interested in games
<warpme_> rah
<warpme_> rah: sure. for games probably bifrost will be no so rosy as GL apis exploited by games are for sure much wider than GLES rendering of video and ui in media players...
<rah> also, "practically fully user usable" is not "fully user usable" which is the point really
<warpme_> well i said practically because video playback issue. if this will be fixed then i can fully say: it is fully user usable (in sense all functions of app i tried are working/rendered ok)
