<chewitt> jbrunet ref to these two patches on the mailing list:
<chewitt> are they dependent on other upstream/pending audio changes, or just general fixes?
<chewitt> if general fixes, they broke audio for me on an N2+ and S905X2 device
<chewitt> to be specific, audio plays, but at max-speed
<chewitt> so a typical 4.5 mins audio track in Kodi completes in 7-8 secs
<chewitt> revert those two changes and audio plays at normal 1.0 speed again
<chewitt> most odd
<chewitt> testing on 5.12-rc7
<chewitt> tested with 5.12-rc6/rc6
<chewitt> s/commit/patch

<jbrunet> chewitt: silly mistake. patch was only tested and ops is missing on g12 and up. This should fix https://www.irccloud.com/pastebin/AXdWbZQB/missing-hw-params.patch
<jbrunet> only tested on axg
<jbrunet> should be ok on g12 now
<chewitt> jbrunet tested on 5.12-rc7 and confirmed fixed, thanks

<chewitt> jbrunet can you think of any reason why GXBB cannot play 48KHz multi-channel audio in Kodi .. but the same image on GXL works fine
<chewitt> if I force Kodi output to 44.1KHz everything appears to work
