<krzk>
PabloPL: There are almost no public datasheets for any Exynos :)
<krzk>
Including 8 year old chips which are not sold... everything is confidential :)
<PabloPL>
krzk: i though about porting linux for some next device (after finishing with i9000), so it makes it harder :/
<PabloPL>
krzk: good that newer devices have dts - no 2.6/3.0 anymore and checking board files and "hacks" in drivers
<krzk>
PabloPL: yeah... it makes everything harder... supporting existing devices, adding new stuff. Exynos are nice for some fun, but in general it is more of a pain :)
<krzk>
I would advise using some normal SoC, with public documentation (e.g. Freescle/NXP)
<PabloPL>
krzk: i would like to play with some phone device, get rid of android

Try getting S3 (also Trats2) it has nice support already and even more can be done with it
<krzk>
some lucky folks got hands on Tizen TM2 which is Galaxy Note 4 (or something)
<krzk>
and it also has some support in mainline
<PabloPL>
krzk: i though that fourkbomb finished support for it
<krzk>
PabloPL: I think there is still some things to do... but indeed maybe forkbomb finished...
<PabloPL>
krzk: on i9000 i could play with camera also, or even try to "play" with powervr :D
<PabloPL>
krzk: for i9000 there are more patches coming (audio in progress, sensors, tochkeys, etc after "fixing" max8998 driver - separate clocks, panel driver ready and waiting for submission, etc)
<krzk>
awesome! :)
<PabloPL>
krzk: but more things is already done i think. maybe we could submit uboot port
<PabloPL>
krzk: and broken onenand :(
<PabloPL>
krzk: since 3.0 or something like this
<PabloPL>
krzk: but it's not samsung specific, but in core part of it
