<nerdboy> moin
<nerdboy> so i've been testing 5.x kernels on some arm chromebooks and so far snow is the only problematic one...
<nerdboy> since veyron/tegra work fine i was kinda expecting snow might also work, but i can't get the sdcard to boot at all
<nerdboy> except for the seems-to-be-broken nv_uboot-snow.kpart will boot u-boot prompt
<nerdboy> i forked/modified this: https://github.com/sarnold/chromebooks and it works for all the arm/arm64 onesi've tested so far except snow
<nerdboy> i even tried the arch install just to see if it worked, but no...
<nerdboy> anyone using snow with a recent mainline kernel?
<Wizzup> not super recent
<Wizzup> can check when I'm home
<nerdboy> do you remember how you set that ^^ up originally?
<nerdboy> the "latest" kernel i could find documented was 3.15 (documented here: https://operand.ca/2014/06/07/debian-on-arm-chromebook.html)
<nerdboy> when i try that ^^ i get the angry beep and it actually changes the priority on my nvuboot partition to 0

<nerdboy> if i change the priority and try again it just changes it to zero again

<Wizzup> same answer, would have to check :(
<Wizzup> haven't used it in a while
<Wizzup> mostly used peach pi
<Wizzup> but now switched to x230 :)
<nerdboy> i think steev tested the original card build with 5.x on pit which also didn't boot
<nerdboy> Wizzup: have you done this with mainline u-boot and the signed kernel wrapper?
<steev> correct, i attempted it on pit and it didn't boot. did not look into why
<steev> the kernel ci stuff should show boot logs, may want to dig into them - and really do, because one thing i've noticed is that the report will say good/okay, but if you actually look at the log itself.... it's not good/okay
<Wizzup> nerdboy: it's been over a year and half at least :)
<Wizzup> I'll be home in the weekend.
