../resource_tool --unpack --image=resource.img works now, you just have to fix persm on "out" and the file is an arg to --image, not a file like the help output says :)

naobsd: yes, I wasn't trying to mix stock and mainline, just thought that extracting the stock dtb might have some useful infromation on pin connections or similar.

naobsd: you suggested I should put dtb in resource.img? if I'm booting mainline, with an appended dtb, that wouldn't ever ebe relevant would it?

that would only ever be relevant if I had a bootloader or second bootloader that could tell the kernel that the dtb was in the resource partition, rather than appended right?
