<vicencb> Esmil: also tested your second patch on kevin, success!
<vicencb> hanetzer: maz: i've also been using kexec on kevin, has maz says not smooth, but works enough well for me
<vicencb> take a look at https://gitlab.com/vicencb/kevinboot
<vicencb> i remember on CromeOS to be able to choose the display resolution as native (2400x1600) and also as 1200x800, how can this be configured on linux?

<Esmil> vicencb: Cool. The patch i just sent is actually slightly differrent from to two you already tested, so you might want to try that one out too. Sorry

<hanetzer> vicencb: looks interesting. if I could get straight kexec to work on my kevin I'm going to be looking into coreboot with a uImage.FIT payload with petitboot

<mrjay> ok 18 beers later rk3399 pipo p10 boots ubuntu ... but only on four little cores ...

<mrjay_> hanetzer: nope ... linux-next with arm64 defconfig + small changes

<hanetzer> hmm. how do you enable/disable the big cores?
<mrjay_> most simple way is maxcpus=4 parameter
<hanetzer> gotcha, so no source modification or dtb manipulation.
<mrjay_> yeap
<mmind00> mrjay_: possibly the regulator not working?
<mmind00> mrjay_: i.e. the big cluster generally has a different power-rail
<mrjay_> mmind00: i think i tested that
<mrjay_> mmind00: even enabled in u-boot this pmic/regulator and assigned voltage by hand
