<hanetzer> thefloweringash: figured the issue, I'm just dumb :)
<hanetzer> anyone here got that new pinepro64 or whatever it was (rk3399 laptop)? if so, can you confirm if it has any spi flash or if the only storage medium is the emmc?

<mmind00> hanetzer: I think pine64 has an irc channel somewhere ... and there should be pine64-devs hanging out there
<hanetzer> mostly idle curiosity

<DuClare> mmind00: You got rk3288 working with atf & pisc?
<DuClare> psci.. damn I always get the acronym wrong (a dude I know has a programming language called pisc)

<maz> DuClare: don't worry, we also have scpi, cpci, and some other variations.
<DuClare> :)

<poulecaca> scpi ? You mean scmi ? :)

<poulecaca> maz: It was a joke, because IIUC scpi is to be replaced by scmi
<maz> poulecaca: you can't really replace something that has already made it into the wild. it's there forever.

<mmind00> DuClare: yeah, rk3288 with ATF psci (I always like it when people say it as "pesky"), suspend (working on deep suspend right now) and even hardware-virtualization
BenG83 has joined #linux-rockchip
aalm has joined #linux-rockchip
<mmind00> DuClare: obviously in-kernel smp+suspend is not going away, but I think nobody will ever implement the deep suspend there
<maz> mmind00: which platform do you have that running on?
* maz looks at reviving one of the c201...
<mmind00> maz: right now on the rk3288-evb
<mmind00> maz: coreboot support for that monster is on my list :-D
<maz> ;-)
urjaman has quit [Ping timeout: 246 seconds]
<mmind00> maz: i.e. everything (like loading stuff) works exactly the same as on arm64 with a tiny bit of arm32 glue ... which should make coreboot support similarly easy as the uboot side I already posted a v1 for
<mmind00> I even already have dug up a veyron-fievel from my scrap box for that
<DuClare> mmind00: Nice, I'll have to give it a try soonish
<DuClare> mmind00: Does this work require any as of yet uncommitted changes on u-boot's part?
urjaman has joined #linux-rockchip
<mmind00> DuClare: yes ... actually right now uboot + dts, but later on uboot should modify the dts itself for the atf case (once I've written that code)
<hanetzer> maz: hey, I got petitboot working on the kevin :)
<mrueg> I'm considering getting a Radxa RockPI, any users here that could tell me how well it works currently? (dts was submitted to mainline in kernel 5.1)
<hanetzer> mrueg: whassap. is that another rk3399 based machine?
<mrueg> hanetzer: yo! \o/ yep one with 4gb of memory and usb-c powered
<hanetzer> nice. the kevin is sameish. has two typec ports, either can charge :D
<hanetzer> however somethin is amis with mine atm, doesn't power on the display. think it was a modification I made
