hanetzer: they're stock Cortex CPU cores, so they should do
<robmur01>
I mean, they're almost certainly hard-wired to come out of reset LE, but you should be free to switch to run a BE kernel later
<robmur01>
the biggest problem is usually finding (or having the dedication to build) a BE userspace

true
<hanetzer>
robmur01: honestly I don't care about userspace. a bi-endian cpu supported by coreboot is all I'm caring about for the sake of fixing broken big-endian code ;)

hanetzer: fair enough, in that case you should simply need to poke SCTLR_El<n>.EE or "SETEND BE" (as appropriate) on the way in and be good to go
<EmilKarlson>
anyone who is already using debian stock kernels with kevin?
<EmilKarlson>
bullseye kernel should probably have good hw support, I was mostly wondering does it boot, if I just package the vmlinuz and defailt initrd to fit image
<EmilKarlson>
with the SECURE dev keys
<eballetbo[m]>
vmlinuz + initrd into the fit image is too big for stock coreboot, you need at least a modified version of coreboot in order to use stock debian kernels
<EmilKarlson>
thanks, you just saved me some effort

<wens>
huh? they didn't change that?
<EmilKarlson>
changed or not, my coreboot is millenniums old
<EmilKarlson>
millennia, I guess
<EmilKarlson>
it might not be actually true, but at least lexically correct

<eballetbo[m]>
iirc they increased the size but stock coreboot on kevin doesn't have this change yet
