<smondet> seangrove: Ihad an implmentation of that there: https://bitbucket.org/smondet/pvem_lwt_unix/src/6e4434f0d6efc93a79c19fe5ab0676fbeb0a9d78/pvem_lwt_unix.ml?at=master this one deletes symlinks (does not follow them), and does not check for infinite FS loops

<seangrove> smondet: Awesome, I'll take a look at that. I push a preliminary version with some code from an example site to get some feedback on the approach for now, but I'll have to remove it before it gets merged
<seangrove> dsheets: Sorry for the amateur hour - if you stick with it, I'm sure I'll catch up at some point ;)

<seangrove> dsheets: Is it important to avoid a Str dependency, or a Batteries/etc. dependency?
<dsheets> seangrove, str is in the stdlib but 1.) not re-entrant and 2.) contains C stuff. There is a str work-alike in ocaml-re called Re_str.
<dsheets> avoiding Batteries/extlib/ocamlnet/core is more important
<dsheets> but adopting more deps isn't the end of the world
<dsheets> being more independent is nice, though
<seangrove> Ok, just checking. Batteries has String.nsplit which makes this a one-line change. Str probably has something too, but hard to tell
<dsheets> oh, also look at stringext
<seangrove> No worries, happy to work with whatever constraints
<dsheets> i would totally adopt that. very small
* seangrove checks
<seangrove> Nice, works perfectly
<seangrove> Actually liking the OCaml/opam workflow a bit more now
<dsheets> hooray!
<seangrove> dsheets: You're on GMT?
<dsheets> seangrove, yeah, in cambridge
<seangrove> dsheets: And it's not a good idea to check in a .merlin file for ocaml projects? I see stringext actually has one
<dsheets> dsheets, it is, i just missed it
<seangrove> Ok, just makign sure. Good chance for me to figure out how to make one

<seangrove> dsheets: For the #10 PR, it's best to remove the (I think) GPL code. I'll take a look at smondet's code since it's ISC
<dsheets> seangrove, ew, sounds good
<seangrove> Yeah, my thoughts as well

<seangrove> Probably worth putting it up on CLAHub anyway
<dsheets> seangrove, cool. nope, i/we don't
