<ShadowJK>
I started thinking of getting a roomba or similar
<ShadowJK>
But then I saw stories of how the dog has pooped inside, and the roomba's sensors has detected "dust", and ran over it multiple times before running all over the house
<DocScrutinizer05>
HAHAHA
<DocScrutinizer05>
rooba is crap anyway, I heard
<wpwrak>
i had two. they're good if you're sufficiently lazy :)

and sufficiently "plain" flat
<DocScrutinizer05>
c't (iirc) tested them and all were pathetic
<DocScrutinizer05>
I know for sure these bot vacuum cleaners would fail epically in my case
<DocScrutinizer05>
dyson is fun to use :-)
<DocScrutinizer05>
*) spod some dust *) arn *) shoot *) win *) profit
<DocScrutinizer05>
spot, even
<DocScrutinizer05>
while writing last sequence, I looked at my desk, around (and below) that very monitor and kbd. Now I feel like Sly with that M134 minigun
<DocScrutinizer05>
Dyson is *fun*
<DocScrutinizer05>
and - however trivial - that 'cyclone' technique to filter out even microdust like cig ash works amazingly well
<DocScrutinizer05>
Dyson is even better than ice spray (and freezer). Though the latter is clearly the method of choice to deal with spiders
<DocScrutinizer05>
spiders on the wall I catch with a jam glass from freezer, which conveniently slows down those critters to a state where you can throw them outa the window. When they sit in a spot where catching with a glass is difficult: Kontact Kaelte75 and then - since today - dyson and again outa the window
<DocScrutinizer05>
jam jar is the right term
<DocScrutinizer05>
added dyson benefit: if I suck up a chip or screw or littel jack or whatever with it (not unusual) then I can see it in that transparent tank and recover it easily
<wpwrak>
(spider disposal) or you could get a cat ;-)
<DocScrutinizer05>
I'd love to (had one a 40 years ago) - alas it turned out I'm allergic
<DocScrutinizer05>
was a she-cat with the incredibly persistend 'design' of "all black, with a white spot on breast and a few white toetips
<DocScrutinizer05>
wpwrak: WOW! thanks!
<DocScrutinizer05>
I always knew there are cats I have no problems with. However I wasn't sure whether it's the cat or my condition of that day. I even knew it's about saliva. But this is first time I heard about Fel d 1,
<ShadowJK>
I'm technically allergic to dogs. I'm coping with antihistamines, hepa vaccuum cleaner, and an air cleaner (soon two)

sidenote (not OT): DHL has a 4 parcels waiting for me, they (as usual) need me to fill friggin forms with my EORI etc pp (xiangfu missed to place my EORI on the packages)
<DocScrutinizer05>
that shipment from Beihing was pretty fast
<wpwrak>
i get the feeling that soon, neo900.org will have lots of cat videos :-) "cat inspecting new refurbs", "cat editing the schematics", "cat testing the modem", ... :)
<DocScrutinizer05>

wpwrak: you actually might be right
<DocScrutinizer05>
there's nothing like the magic wisdom and mood of a cat, for their can opener to cope with stress
<wpwrak>
"haustierschuppen"
<DocScrutinizer05>
I bet there's even statistical evidence that can openers live 100 years longer ;-)
<wpwrak>
heh :)
<DocScrutinizer05>
well that was meant to read "10", but...
<DocScrutinizer05>
sidenote: DHL wants to shit me. A flier in my postbox, telling me about a parcel for $emptyfield, form $emptyfield, with some $6digitcode. which I can't pick up (and look at it what it is) anywhere unless I negotiate a new delivery or pickup at some "pack station" where I need to bring 100,36 EUR to do so
<DocScrutinizer05>
No Friggin Clue what that thing is
varu|zZz is now known as varu
<DocScrutinizer05>
might be scam with a brick or sand inside, or the postage I need to pay for a 40 N900
<DocScrutinizer05>
or a nuclear device from Moscow

DHL is such a crap
