<magic_user> hi all, is the mmm browser something usible? is there any other browser available?
<magic_user> done in ocaml?
<flux-> no idea, apparently it's already 10 years old so I would imagine it's not quite up-to-date re current web technologies..

<love-pingoo> magic_user: why do you want a browser in ocaml ?
neeraj has quit ["Leaving"]
<magic_user> I dunno
<magic_user> faster n better I hope
<magic_user> but I guess such a mess of web addon shits these days its a pain eh
<magic_user> so ok
<magic_user> I tried drscheme
<magic_user> and I downlaoded ghc but couldnt figure out what do do with
<magic_user> it
<magic_user> does ocam have a good tutorial cuz IM lazy and cant read 5000 pages of shit
<love-pingoo> some people answer ocaml-tutorial.org but I haven't tried myself
<love-pingoo> magic_user: sorry, I know nothing faster n better than firefox, not that I consider it very good
<zagzig> it's a pretty easy read, so if you can't get through that then there's no hope
<magic_user> hm
<magic_user> what if I dont program now?
<magic_user> can I learn by reading?
<magic_user> opera > firefox
<magic_user> more features less memory
<zagzig> not unless you back it up with experimentation
<zagzig> it doesn't stick otherwise

<savanni> Good morning.
<haelix> good evening :)
<savanni> I'm not going to ask many questions. I am just here to see what questions about ocaml I have not thought to ask yet.
<haelix> Picasso said
<haelix> "computers are useless, all they do is give answers"
<haelix> or somthing like this
<savanni> I ask questions. The computers give me some answers. I find this to be a useful relationship.

<dark_light> there is a way to make tuareg mode for emacs ident lines with tab? i am used to ident with tab, but when configuring the default ident he asks only a number (of spaces)
<love-pingoo> tabs are not enough for indenting caml the tuareg way
<love-pingoo> emacs might convert back eight spaces into one tab, though

<hcarty> Is there a way to enable folding in tuareg mode? I'm relatively new to emacs, but I haven't found anything useful when searching online
<beschmi> hcarty: i don't know if there is code folding for ocaml, but this one should work: http://emacs.wordpress.com/2007/01/16/quick-and-dirty-code-folding/
Smergo_ is now known as Smergo
<hcarty> beschmi: Thanks, I'll take a look
<pango> yup, seems to work

<mtomczak> Greetings all! I have an ocaml library question: The DarwinPorts install of lablgl doesn't include a META file for ocamlfind...
<mtomczak> ... I'd like to add one, but my understanding of META files is very rudimentary. Does one already exist for lablgl? Could one from another OS's build of lablgl be used?
<mtomczak> That's just about perfect. Thank you!
