<gildor> rwmjones: hello
<gildor> rwmjones: did you have time to change the license of ocaml-libvirt?
<rwmjones> gildor, morning
<rwmjones> gildor, I've done virtually norhing in the last week owing to issues at home
<rwmjones> but let me change it now
<gildor> for sthg lik LGPL + static exception
<rwmjones> gildor, is it OK if I just update the upstream repo
<gildor> well it is better to have a release
<gildor> i don't know the release schedule of ocaml-libvirt, so maybe it will take time to have an official release with updated license
love-pingoo has joined #ocaml
<rwmjones> gildor, do you want me to just modify COPYING.LIB & README?
<gildor> rwmjones: you must say in files that they should refer to COPYING.LIB
<gildor> e.g. in libvirt/libvirt.ml Add something like "See ../COPYING.LIB" in place of "You should have received..."

<gildor> rwmjones: perfect
<rwmjones> gildor, ok ... you want a release, or happy to wait?
<gildor> i prefer a release, because i would like to include this license update in debian
<gildor> if you don't mind
<rwmjones> no problem, give me a few mins
<rwmjones> gildor, ftp://libvirt.org/libvirt/ocaml
<rwmjones> gildor, version 0.4.4.0
<rwmjones> gildor, did you have any other problems with it? eg it built ok?

<gildor> rwmjones: well, if you ask i have some files left after clean
<gildor> could you create a distclean target to remove it
<rwmjones> do you know which files?
<gildor> these files are generate by configure
<rwmjones> gildor, most of those files are removed by 'make distclean' which is there already ... however 3 files were missing which I've added: http://hg.et.redhat.com/virt/applications/ocaml-libvirt--devel/?cs=5232fb49b199

<rwmjones> gildor, you want me to do another release with those 3 lines added?
<gildor> rwmjones: no, that is ok
<gildor> i will upload the 0.4.4.0 version
<rwmjones> ok, thanks sylvain :-)

<gildor> rwmjones: you let a reference to "INRIA" in COPYING.LIB
<gildor> unmodified Library as distributed by INRIA
<gildor> sorry
<rwmjones> gildor, if I s/INRIA/Red Hat/ is that ok?
<gildor> yep
<gildor> but i don't need a release for this
<gildor> the linking exception is enough
<rwmjones> gildor, ftp://libvirt.org/libvirt/ocaml
<rwmjones> version 0.4.4.1

<hcarty> I'm working on properly building the OCaml PLplot interface as part of the main PLplot source tree. The OCaml bindings are compiled against the not-yet-installed C library, which makes the "-custom" option somewhat ineffective. Any suggestions on the proper way to handle this?
<hcarty> a "linkopts" line in the META file looks like it may be the way to go, but I'm not sure about that.

<hcarty> Is is possible to tell ocamlfind to call pkg-config using the linkopts META option, or otherwise?
<hcarty> I've read through the manual, but I have not found anything that works for me
