<amosbird> let fetchoutlines sourcetype () = .. what's the point of having this unit as a second arg?
<oni-on-ion> unused variable? ie. if something calls fetchoutlines with 2 arg
<amosbird> hmm, but why?
<amosbird> to act as a callback?
<amosbird> ok, seems reasonale
<amosbird> reasonable*

<cemerick> Anyone aware of a library implementing FSM combinators that can be applied incrementally, over streams of non-string/character values?

<oni-on-ion> amosbird, not sure, but likely there is a cleaner or more concise way to accomplish the same, if that was indeed the reasoning
<oni-on-ion> cemerick, would this help at all? https://ocaml.org/learn/tutorials/stream_expressions.html

<companion_cube> no, this is deprecated, don't touch it :3
<oni-on-ion> aha
<cemerick> oni-on-ion: as companion_cube said, not really. :-)
<cemerick> Not incremental either AFAICT
<cemerick> heh, the syntax error admonitions in the examples are a good hint, too

<flux[m]> first of its kind post I've seen: someone is looking for a personal ocaml tutor in r/ocaml (for a little bit of cash) :). I sort of applaud taking learning so seriously.
<adrien> am I the only who has received a password change e-mail for the caml list? (I haven't asked for anything and the IP is definitely not mine)
<_y> the caml list itself received it
<_y> has the list subscribed to itself?
<adrien> I wasn't sure whether it was sent to me or to the list; it's difficult to tell with faked headers
<adrien> although it being an XSS vector probably can't be ruled out

<oni-on-ion> are ocaml floats boxed? i read in some places that they are 64bit double precision
<oni-on-ion> going to call some C libraries with its 32bit float type and not sure what to do, unless i move to all doubles. but do i have to convert them back and forth between Ocaml and C ?
