xvilka: cranix was asking about a music sequencer, which is pretty precisely what e.g. supercollider offers. Pulseaudio or analogues are much lower level.

Not sure how ocaml library development speed is related, but SC also happens to interop via a wire protocol too, not usually FFI, so integration is pretty straightforward
