<rak> I already have some libraries installed by my package manager under /usr/lib/ocaml. How can I tell opam to use those instead of reinstalling them, or at least, not complain that they're already installed?

<flux1> I think you have the option of using either system-installed libraries or opam, not both
<flux1> https://github.com/unhammer/ocaml_cg_streamparse/blob/master/sedlex_menhir.ml <- quite sad that one needs to write this much boilerplate to interface menhir with sedlex, which AFAIK is the only UTF8-able lexer generator available?

<flux1> is there a working emacs mode for menhir 2.0 .mly-files? my tuareg 2.2.0 seems to get very confused

<malc_> noticed "[ 1494.531886] process '[..redacted..]' started with executable stack" in kernel log recently not sure how long i was being notified about this, the process in question is a bytecode thing custom linked (with an ocamlrun stub on top i suppose), anything i can do about it (other than papering over the issue and disabling the log message somehow)?

<HyperMonkey> odig sure makes some massive cache directories ...
<HyperMonkey> it's taking like half an hour to run find on my filesystem now ... (still hdd based here)
<HyperMonkey> just found out about cppo ... it's awesome, I was finding the one module per file approach somewhat limiting
