thecycoone: I'm running on wayland (sway), which might make a difference (it does for qtwebengine, which has a similar bug unless one disablea gpu compositing. That bug has always been there for me though)

(RK3288 chromebooks should run completely bloblessly with panfrost with the exception of wifi. If you can tolerate wi-fi not working, it's 100% open... personally I use Ethernet anyway)

RK3399 chromebooks are similar except there's a blob needed for display out over usb type-C (but if you use the integrated display it's blobless), and also there's a DSP related firmware that might be used on ChromeOS? that at any rate you won't be running anyway, something about wake-on-word detection I think
