I need to find some more non-core pony repos to test it out before I submit a PR though. 16.09 branches at the end of next month. I set that as the target to have some minimal stuff in place.

When I am just installing a package, I want to trust that the maintainers did their job and I don't want to spend a bunch more timing running tests. In nix, especially, I can be very confident that once something is baked it wont change unless its explicitly change.
