<mattip> arigato: there is a screen session open with the translation failure on arm64-2
<mattip> I used /home/ubuntu/pypy2-v7.2-6885d94b89cf/bin/pypy to translate, like the buildbot
<arigato> ah

<kenaan> arigo default f95a2bad0572 /rpython/translator/c/funcgen.py: workaround (xxx no idea how things end up here but only on arm64-2 when running pypy)
<arigato> mattip: meh? unsure if I fixed the bug or just the symptom, but pypy translates with pypy now
BPL has quit [Quit: Leaving]

<mattip> thanks for finding it
<mjacob> arigato: "# XXX no idea how this is possible" <- sounds like an ideal job for revdb
<arigato> yes, but it would take forever to reach that point
<arigato> it's almost at the end of running a translation
<arigato> I feel like knowing why is not worth the expensive money it costs to run this arm server
<kenaan> mattip cryptograhpt-2.7 7b89acff0749 /lib_pypy/_cffi_ssl/: fix wrong function call
<mattip> cryptography-2.7 passes all the tests in test_ssl except ones that check the exception string message
<mattip> I need to upstream some of the changes to cryptography, they removed some of the openssl functions we need
<arigato> I'm impressed that now, still, like long ago, openssl seems to be a complete mess
<Alex_Gaynor> mattip: I'd love to get running test_ssl.py in cryptography's CI, if someone is interested to help out with that then. Then we can avoid breaking it in the future
<arigato> I never understood how a basic library whose goal is security is such a mess that it needs hundreds and hundreds of functions
<tumbleweed> poor result of evolution :(
