it's still waaay better than what I can get from my 11W TL energysaving lamp or from the camera flash

actually I couldn't get closer to the chip, that's the limit the camera can do regarding macro

I was recently taught that if you have interchangeable lens (like I do), you can turn your macro lens around

the camera flash is weird anyway, each 3rd or 4th time statistically it fires full power, blinding the picture sensor and my eyes while shooting macros
