<nvrpunk> is there a way to expand linuxroot to the full capacity of the nand?
<wulfmahn> nvrpunk: I somewhat got things up and running. I was able to upload my boot.img and a custom rootfs, but I think I may have some problems with my rootfs. I should be able to track it down, but I'm not sure I completely understand other concepts yet like how to partition the NAND, when to do a low level format, and all the other nuances.
<nvrpunk> yeah the image i have divides up the nand into blocks
<nvrpunk> i definitely don't feel like i am seeing 8GB of nand
<nvrpunk> so theres a user partition
<nvrpunk> interesting
<nvrpunk> this is a great read
<nvrpunk> :)
<nvrpunk> for getting all your space
<wulfmahn> That's one of the pages I'm using and I agree, it's got a lot of good information in it
<nvrpunk> I already have mine up and running for what i need it for
<nvrpunk> i dont see myself using a lot of extra space really
<nvrpunk> maybe in the future ill redo it

<wulfmahn> I'm used to using a utility such as fdisk to partition drives but I'm getting the impression that the parameter file dictates the boundaries and size of partitions and I just simply write data to those sectors, making sure I don't overrun them
<wulfmahn> Is my understanding correct?
<wulfmahn> So, say I wanted to create a new partition, do I just simply make an entry for it in the parameter file, flash the parameter file and then write a file system image to that sector?
<wulfmahn> Nevermind, I found the answer on the wiki, must have overlooked it before
<nvrpunk> yes
<nvrpunk> the parameter dictates teh layout

<kraptv> So, does anyone chat about radxa on here?
<kraptv> I'm interested in whether there will be support for the RK3288 soon.
<tonikasch> mmm
<tonikasch> trying to build libvpu now, but I feel some pieces are missing

<tonikasch> (sorry for crossposting) anybody interested in testing this? https://github.com/alexandrebelloni/on2-8170-modules
<tonikasch> I guess could be adapted with HermanChen libstagefright/libvpu/ header files
<tonikasch> regarding VPU :)
