<kentonv>
whelp, after going through changes one by one looking for where the tests started failing, I'm back where I started and the tests aren't failing anymore
<kentonv>
must have been some sort of bad build, but it's super-disturbing that that's possible
<JacobWeisz[m]>
Weird
<xet7>
JacobWeisz[m]: Thanks for info about that Keybase cryptocurrency. It seems value of it has risen.
<JacobWeisz[m]>
Yeah, I figure a lot of us got it because of our app author accounts. And it's like $700 now, which is not nothing.
<xet7>
Yes. I do remember when some time ago it was about $400, so it has risen to $700 now.
<xet7>
Unfortunately, I have not studied enough about crypto to always use long and correct word, because it's harder to write longer word, like pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis
<xet7>
that seems to be longest word In English
<xet7>
In Finnish there is old job title like Yliesierikoisapulaisvaravaurioraivausvuorovarausratkaisupäällikkö
<xet7>
But usually when there is some long work title somewhere, like recently at army, some think it's kind of a joke
<isd>
Yeah, that's kinda why I think it's a losing battle -- people who don't have an interest in distinguishing cryptography from crypto currency will just reach for the shorter word. And I'm grumpy about it because I'm used to `crypto` meaning cryptography.
<isd>
I expect it'll end up like the word 'Hacker', where it continues to be used in the original sense in more technical circles, but be used only in the sense of {blackhat security, fintech buzzword} everywhere else.

I'm not sure whether it's a good or bad thing that I don't have a lobste.rs account. The comments seem generally more sensible than most other places, probably due to the invitation tree. But I would probably get less done if I were to participate.
