<mkk_> [Stefan Holst, skywater-pdk] Hi! I took the PDK release as an opportunity to put together a proof-of-concept of an idea I had a while ago. GDS2WebGL translates GDSII layouts for visualization on the web. The interactive views work in any modern browser on PCs, tablets and phones. https://github.com/s-holst/GDS2WebGL and https://s-holst.github.io/GDS2WebGL/demo/ is on github. Feel free to open issues for feature ideas and bugs. This
<mkk_> [Paul Sajna, skywater-pdk] cool project! Is there a way to add your own gds from the browser?
<mkk_> [Stefan Holst, skywater-pdk] @Paul Sajna No. You need to use a python script to translate GDS2 to HTML/JS, then open the result with a browser.
<mkk_> [Paul Sajna, skywater-pdk] bummer, I think that would really increase the utility if you could add that feature.
<mkk_> [Paul Sajna, skywater-pdk] maybe run the python in wasm?

<mkk_> [Tim Edwards, skywater-pdk] @: I worked on Neuromorphic VLSI my entire graduate career, mostly at Johns Hopkins with Andreas Andreou and Gert Cauwenberghs, and attended the Telluride workshops on neuromorphic VLSI back in the mid-1990s. I would love to collaborate on this but have zero time to do so. I can, however, connect you with any number of people in the field, especially ex-students of Andreas Andreou and Carver Mead who

Actively "Rebooting Computing", transferring energy-efficient computing technologies—posit tm arithmetic, semi/partial reversible computing—to leap the Landauer Limit wall. Many faceted; creates outside the box; change agent, flexible-adaptable-situational. Worked for Silicon Valley icons such as SRI, Applicon, Computer Sciences Corporation,
<mkk_> [Trevor Clarke, skywater-pdk] The gds viewer would be a great thing to add to the docs for cells. A search/viewer for everything in the sky130 library and got user created libraries. Maybe sometime could host a translation VM that points to a gds url (like a GitHub raw url) and presents the view. Or alternately, a lambda or similar that people can use from Travis to generate the html during a CI build
<mkk_> [Sylvain Munaut, skywater-pdk] The cells already have SVG renders in each dir.
<mkk_> [Trevor Clarke, skywater-pdk] Oh ok. Hasn't noticed but good
