<whitequark> ohsix: re link constraints: not really no
<whitequark> re constraints X=Y/2: sure, length ratio, possibly with some construction lines
<ohsix> whitequark: certainly the ratio could then be X=Y? :p
<whitequark> thats just an equality constraint

<ohsix> whitequark: read the manual again, it's pretty good. i was looking if there was a keyboard shortcut for going 'up' and down the active group radio box, if it doesn't exist it would be handy :p
<ohsix> then you can flip back and forth between 2d and extrude or something more quickly
<ohsix> was thinking of how to teach people about constraints, i think i'll make an in real life model of a pantograph to show how it moves and talk about it and stuff. i made the equivalent in solvespace a few minutes ago, also one for a 'laser' stage driven by a motor
<ohsix> this kind of extra shenanigans is pretty freakin' handy

<ohsix> whitequark: sup, lost power & buffer
<whitequark> nothing much happened
<whitequark> re keyboard shortcut: yeah maybe
<whitequark> we're a bit short on keys though
<ohsix> word
<cr1901_modern> CTRL+ALT modifier combination?
<ohsix> i tried basically ctrl pageup/down first, since that's stack-ish in my brain
<ohsix> now that i think about it, it's only really annoying cuz i'm using a touchpad and that itself is really undesirable and i'd use a mouse most of the time
<whitequark> ctrl+pageup/dn is really nasty on most modern laptops
<whitequark> tihis translates to ctrl+fn+downarrow, and downarrow is already tiny
<ohsix> whitequark: yea but i'm already used to it :> and i have a laptop with a number pad that isn't like that
<ohsix> erm, my netbook does the fn+key thing, that is
