So, initial impressions: the order of operations for constraining things is backwards compared to what i'm used t

to*
<azonenberg>
in autodesk inventor and similar stuff, you constrain by selecting a constraint on the toolbar then clicking the object you want to apply it to
<azonenberg>
Not selecting the object then applying a constraint
<azonenberg>
Not a problem so much as, this will take some getting used to :p

whitequark: So are inches and mm the only units supported for dimensions?
<azonenberg>
It would be nice to be able to use larger or smaller units like microns, feet, meters, etc
<azonenberg>
in particular feet or meters would be a lot more convenient for architectural work than inches or mm
<azonenberg>
i'm trying to digitize some US building floorplans done in feet and there's lots of manual math involved
<azonenberg>
whitequark: ok so i'm confused now :p
<azonenberg>
I created a sketch for the first floor, extruded up
<azonenberg>
so now i have a shell of walls for the first floor of the building
<azonenberg>
Then i created a second sketch on the top plane of the extrusion
<azonenberg>
drew the second floor, extruded that up further
<azonenberg>
Now i have a nice solid extrusion for the shell of the second floor, but the first floor is showing as a hollow gold-colored wireframe
