<dalias> cr1901_modern, openscad support in solvespace?
<dalias> they're different programs/frameworks
<dalias> and re: 3d printed screws, if your printer is decent, they're very good
<cr1901_modern> I don't have a 3d printer... ENOMONEY
<cr1901_modern> I would use a service
<cr1901_modern> :P
<dalias> i've been playing with parts that assemble via threads, like a threaded 2-part ball joint case
<dalias> ah
<dalias> if you do have some spare $ sometime, ender 3 is *really* good for the price
<dalias> comparing to photos i've seen online of stuff from other printers
<dalias> this ball joint is really fun, it looks like an impossible assembly because you can't even see that there's a threaded interface to put it together
<swivel> pics?
<dalias> will do tomorrow :)
<dalias> i can show in openscad now tho

<swivel> neat
<dalias> the internal ball isn't shown; it also has a threaded hole like the small hole in the casing in the upper left
<dalias> so you can chain them
<dalias> and the angle of the threaded hole in the casing is parametrized, so you can make different ranges of motion
