<awygle> can i turn off the automatic H and V constraints that get added when drawing lines? ideally only when they make the sketch overconstrained?
mauz555 has quit []
<whitequark> (a) yes, in the configuration (b) I vaguely recall implementing that, let me check out the issues
<awygle> i can't seem to find it in the configuration in the released version, which is the version i'm using, because it's the version i was using before you told me to use master. seeing as this software is A Whitequark Joint, i assume the save file will be compatible if i upgrade?
<whitequark> yeah the save files are up and down compatible between all existing versions
<whitequark> if you're using new features they'll simply get cut from the file
<whitequark> (new features when using old solvespace)
<awygle> sweet
<whitequark> fyi the master version should be at least as stable as the release, and much more up to date environment-wise
<whitequark> oh it also renders an order of magnitude faster
<awygle> oh also, it seems to be kicking me into 3d mode from 2d mode a lot while i'm trying to sketch, and i have to go to Sketch->In Workplane. can i prevent that somehow?
<whitequark> and has some significant speedup for larger models
<whitequark> hrm
<whitequark> does that happen each time you have an overconstrained sketch?
<awygle> that may be the trigger
<awygle> i'm not sure
<whitequark> try master first
