You could try uninstalling some apps if a bogged phone is the issue, or try greenify from the play store to greenify your apps that are abusing your battery as a better option.

Also what procedure do you practice on charging it? Overcharging for instance can reduce the amount of cycles your battery will work in way that won't hurt the electronics performance

If the volatile RAM is experiencing a lot of hard faults as a result of the voltage it is likely corrupting to dalvik cache, which is causing your problems. To test for this use the same ROM you have been using and wipe the dalvik in recovery and note the difference/improvement in performance.

Upon replacing the battery you still have issues in a short span of time your RAM might be damaged as a result of similar conditions (generated by your battery) as it would if you had overclocked it.
