JohnDoe_71Rus: is it a problem to unplug the cubietruck when its on? (like an raspberry pi) i noticed that the cubietruck has a power button. it looks like hibernate/suspend on the default android system
<gregor3005>
JohnDoe_71Rus: is there a list which os are currently available? a friend would build debian for the cubietruck, maybe there are some work on this
hurtigbuffer is now known as jelly-home
<JohnDoe_71Rus>
gregor3005: my Cb2 has app to poweroff / reboot. icons with flash
<gregor3005>
JohnDoe_71Rus: ok, so the cb3 has a poweroff state? i found that the rpi has not such a state

JohnDoe_71Rus: when i copy only uboot to my sd with one partition for the script.bin and uImage file it boots. when i copy then the lubuntu files to a second partition i get a black screen
<wolfy>
Night-Shade: would you mind to pastebin the output of xrandr -q on your ct, please ? I am very curious of smtg
<Night-Shade>

should there be a graphical environment on lubuntu-desktop?
<wolfy>
gregor3005: the "desktop" part of the name suggests "yes" as answer. lxde probably
<gregor3005>
wolfy: ah i found that i used linaro :-) i had also a problem that my 4gb sd doesn't work with a minimal system. i used the other card which is a 2gb card and it work without a problem
<wolfy>
gregor3005: "lubuntu" stands for "Linaro UBUNTU" :)
<wolfy>
gregor3005: I had issues with a 4GB SD card, too. It worked just fine in my phone for months but cubie2 refused to use it
<wolfy>
apparently there was a voltage mismatch (?)
<gregor3005>
wolfy: i hope not. i connected both usb cables
<wolfy>
it was not a PSU issue for sure. any other card I tested worked. and I used a 4A power supply as well as the OTG cable
<gregor3005>
wolfy: do you flashed the nand? i created a file with dd on the system and i get ~8mb/s
<gregor3005>
wolfy: i use ubuntu on my workstation and found that the livesuit don't starts up "Linux distribution Ubuntu does not supported!!!"
<wolfy>
gregor3005: yes, I did. But at base I am a centos/fedora guy myself. My desktops use centos
<gregor3005>
wolfy: i have a mixed environment. normally also centos/fedora. but for test purpose i have ubuntu on my workstation
<gregor3005>
wolfy: then i use my fedora laptop
<wolfy>
you could try to fiddle with livesuit's startup script
<gregor3005>
wolfy: but first i try to generate a img for a clean lubuntu like on my rpi

is it possible to destroy the cb3 with the livesuit? i installed it on my laptop to have a usv on powerfailure :-)
<gregor3005>
and is it possible to backup the nand flash before i add new files?

<gregor3005>
lol or can i make backups and include images from /dev/nand?
<wolfy>
gregor3005: sure. you can either dd /dev/nand or mount the /dev/nand* partitions
<wolfy>
as of destroy, guess not. once you start in FEL mode you can put content in nand as usual
<gregor3005>
wolfy: i must say i love me cb3 every second a little bit more
<gregor3005>
my*
<wolfy>
just restart the process of writing
<wolfy>
gregor3005: if you have a functional system with X on it, can you please do me a favor and run xrandr -q and pastebin the result ?
<gregor3005>
wolfy: yes, should took some minutes. which results you have and which os?
<wolfy>
i do not have a ct, but a cb2 and I wonder if a goal I want to achieve is feasible
<gregor3005>
wolfy: currently i test the performance on filewrite with dd on different installations. sdcard. sdcard copy to ssh and the same with the nand flash

I don't have any cb. But intresting use it with some external dac, maybe by i2s. But as i read - alsa don't support allwinner soc. And i can get big troubles with software. Anyone see success reports about this?
