<tinnvec>
I have a bit of a question on the built-in help info, is there a way to make that use private message or user notice rather than straight reply?
<tinnvec>
without forking cinch and changing that little bit, of course
<dominikh>
nope.
<dominikh>
frankly, the built-in help stuff was a mistake
<dominikh>
it's far too limited, but it won't be extended, either
<tinnvec>
no worries at all, I'm happy to write my own little help plugin, the only problem there is that !help is used by default for the built in method
<tinnvec>
so if the plugin I write does user notice, it'll also reply in the channel
<dominikh>
not if you don't set the `help` attribute.
<dominikh>
call it something else
<tinnvec>
oh duh lol can't belive I didn't think of that
<dominikh>
if `help` isn't set, !help won't output anything
<tinnvec>
haha yeah, man I feel sheepish now
