hi, if I install lubuntu or cubian, what will its repo (sources.list) point to? official ubuntu or debian ARM repo? thanks.
<Super-noob>
i kind of wonder about that too after having blown up my source list with lots of extra sources but still seem to miss proper URI´s
<Super-noob>
but i don´t have lubuntu debian minimal wheezy
<sgo11>
Super-noob, ok. I asked this question in both forum and here yesterday. haven't got an answer yet. repo is important. I would like to know this before I buy CT. If I can not install nodejs, vlc, squid etc.., it will be useless to me.
<sgo11>
archlinuxarm.org has all the packages up-to-date in their repo. but I never use archlinux before.
<Super-noob>
i can´t really help, i only used apache with php5 that worked directly via apt-get install, i just messed my list up since yesterday i don´t even recall which sources where the originals now :P
<sgo11>
Super-noob, I think you just need to add deb-src for the same URI: http://pastebin.com/nVvthS3J you can try this version to see if that works.
<sgo11>
pastebin.com is blocked by GFW. so stupid.

thx, sadly no change
<Super-noob>
i think i might try another image, the nice think is of course that it boots from sdcard so swapping systems is no issue

hi
<rneese>
morning whats going on today
<moqs>
i have a cubieboard2 and i have installed on the nand the cubieez distro. I have a big probelm with the network
<moqs>
am i in the good place to ask?
<rneese>
cubieez has a issue
<rneese>
you have to login and nano /etc/network/interfaces and rm the static ip and change it to dhcp
<rneese>
its a known issue
<rneese>
once you change that your network interface will work fine
smccarthy has joined #cubieboard
<moqs>
so i have to change this line: iface eth0 inet static to -> iface eth0 inet dhcp? :$
<rneese>
yes and rm the following lines with the ip/netmask/route
<rneese>
you also need to dpkg-reconfigure keyboard-settings and set them
<rneese>
and dpkg-reconfigure tzdata
<rneese>
and set your timezone

<Super-noob>
how can i install linuxheaders if apt-get install linux-headers-`uname -r` fails ?
<Super-noob>
E: Unable to locate package linux-headers-3.4.43-r2-s-rm3
<Super-noob>
E: Couldn't find any package by regex 'linux-headers-3.4.43-r2-s-rm3'
<rneese>
well you could apt-cache search linux-headers*
<rneese>
and see what it returns
<Super-noob>
the highest it shows is for 3.2
<Super-noob>
linux-headers-3.2.0-4-all - All header files for Linux 3.2 (meta-package)
<Super-noob>
i will try that
<rneese>
not if your building a 3.4 kernel
<Super-noob>
i don´t know what those files actually mean, i try to get a driver working for that dvb-t stick, but it fails and i guess it will fail again without 3.4.43 headers but i don´t know what to do
hipboi has quit [Ping timeout: 272 seconds]
<rneese>
then you need to go read and learn
<rneese>
you might need to update your system
<rneese>
apt-get update && apt-get upgrade
<rneese>
and you might have to hunt for the kernel and drivers
