<agx_> lynxeye: i have it on my list but not right at the top so if you pick it up it's fine
<austriancoder> lynxeye: I had somewhere a wip thing as it is also an item on my todo list. I could bring it back to life after I am done with my current patch queue

<ad__> hi all, using etnaviv/mesa and chromium, i am actually getting messages as
<ad__> etnaviv "SharedContextState lost due to GL_OUT_OF_MEMORY
<ad__> OR:gpu_service_impl.cc(1124)] Exiting GPU process because some drivers can't recover from errors. GPU proc
<ad__> if any hint, welcome
<ad__> (gc2000/imx6q)
<austriancoder> ad__: is your system running out of memory?
<ad__> austriancoder, seems not MemFree: 1842924 kB
<ad__> but to use etnaviv i had to set
<ad__> cma=256M@2G
<ad__> maybe this setting is causing issues ?
<marex> ad__: does it happen with some specific website you're opening ?
<marex> ad__: e.g. with a lot of webgl or complex textures ?
<ad__> hi marex , no, just opening chromium, but i can't see the screen now, board is remote
<austriancoder> ad__: its been a long time since I used the cma setting .. I am booting my devices without it but I am using very fresh kernels
<austriancoder> and dev version of mesa
<ad__> i am a 5.4 stable kernel
<ad__> i was getting
<ad__> etnaviv etnaviv: command buffer outside valid memory window
<ad__> so i added the CMA setting to solve that

<austriancoder> ad__: there was a fix for that: https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?id=f3057ad767542be7bbac44e548cb44017178a163 - but not sure which kernel versions were affected and to which it got backported - maybe you just use a more recent kernel?
<ad__> @austriancoder, the fix is alreadi included in my 5.4 stable

<cphealy> cengiz_io: Does this banding issue not happen with other software? I ask as I've experienced issues with LVDS panels where similar banding would be experienced with a marginal LVDS connection.
