<brainstorm> @Attie, @DX-MON & co, I think I'll put together a protoboard to shorten the cable lengths, have better grounding and hopefully mitigate the TCK coupling (directly mounted on top of the Glasgow port A most probably), while I solve some flash enumeration speed issues w/ espressif, see last comment: https://github.com/espressif/openocd-esp32/issues/135#issuecomment-762590662 Now, other than the 1k pullups which seem to be the best performing in my

tests, which other signal conditioning would you suggest for this 10000kHz (10 MHz) board? Ferrites? Snubber networks? I'll try to build it fast as a copper clad board instead of protoboard, actually.... I have the Hi-Z question pending from my friend, let's see what he says about that one.

<brainstorm> ... I actually was thinking, does the JTAG TCK supposed to be sync'd perfectly on raising edge with respect to TDO?
<d1b2>
<brainstorm> what are the timing tolerances according to <insert here possible official standard I would like to check/read>?
GNUmoon2 has joined #glasgow
<sorear>
TCK and TDO are driven by different entities, in general different chips, so they can't be sync'd perfectly
<sorear>
you're probably looking for IEEE 1149.1
<sorear>
> To ensure race-free operation, changes on TAP inputs (TMS and TDI) are clocked into the test logic definedby this standard on the rising edge of TCK while changes at the TAP output (TDO) occur on the falling edgeof TCK.
