hste: I checked by reading the fuse registers and they indicate 1.2GHz, even though the utilite kernel source hard-codes to 1 GHz
<hste>
I think its hardcoded down to 1Ghz on most kernels
<jas-hacks_>
But the FSL tries to determine it by reading the registers

My GK802 is running Linaro 12.04 very well, but at least there seems no HW accelleration. Did I do something wrong with using the updatekernel.sh or apt-get upgrade?
<hste>
Kai: I don't remember what kernel that one was based on. Do u see some galcore line when running dmesg?

<Kai_GK802>
sadly I had to leave the GK at the company. I will have a look tomorrow. The reason to use the updatekernel.sh was that Wifi nor my Ethernet stick was working
<hste>
apt-get upgrade might upgrade some parts that isn't supported by the vivante drivers
<Kai_GK802>
ok, i will start from scratch again and check if HW acc. is working before doing anything
<Kai_GK802>
should I see galcore with lsmod?
<hste>
If I remember both the linaro and the kernelupdatescript was based on 3.0.35_4.0.0
<hste>
you should see vivante module
<Kai_GK802>
yes, this is loaded
<Kai_GK802>
afair it was used by drm?
<hste>
what does your Xorg.0.log look like?
<Kai_GK802>
Can't say now. Had to leave the device at the company. But I'm happy with some directions where to search tomorrow.
<hste>
If you pastebin dmesg and /var/log/Xorg.0.log it would be easier to see what might fail
<hste>
I guess its the apt-get upgrade that made it not woking. Try installing the rootfs again
<Kai_GK802>
ok, I will give it a try.
<hste>
jas-hacks_: have u got udoo now?
<jas-hacks_>
hste: no haven't heard back from them
<jas-hacks_>
Having 2GB ram is good
<Kai_GK802>
thanks for your hints. I will come back tomorrow. Good night (at least in Germany ;-) )
<hste>
jas-hacks_: using it for compiling stuff? :)
<jas-hacks_>
hste: and for running multiple apps
Kai_GK802 has left #imx6-dongle [#imx6-dongle]

and storage is also a bit faster I guess
<jas-hacks_>
also battery backup RTC is very useful as I don't leave it continuously
<jas-hacks_>
running
<hste>
it had ssd?
<jas-hacks_>
yes sdd speeds up boot time
<jas-hacks_>
it also has some eeproms and flash memory
<hste>
lots of goodies.. :)
<jas-hacks_>
yes more goodies than I was expecting :)
<hste>
Have u started on a neww rootfs?
<jas-hacks_>
I'll start again once I get the kernel fully working
<hste>
what kernel version is it? mainline?
<jas-hacks_>
No just that 4.1.0
<jas-hacks_>
It's a good way to work out how the h/w is laid out
<hste>
anyone trying to put the board into yocto?
<jas-hacks_>
I'm guessing may be Stephan
