<hste>
jas-hacks_: started to play with the UDOO and kernel?
<jas-hacks_>
hste: yep, trying to get the arduino IDE running on my rootfs
<rz2k>
I cant expect anything good form SECO & UDOO after speaking with their support and checking out their NDA code
<rz2k>
their support barely speaks English, code is commented in Italian.
<hste>
rz2k: Happy New Year btw
<rz2k>
:)
<rz2k>
you too.
<jas-hacks_>
rz2k: you can see some of that in udoo kernel
<jas-hacks_>
/in/in the
<rz2k>
I'm 100% positive that they copied udoo from Q7 module
<rz2k>
thus, same code.
<jas-hacks_>
rz2k: what was the NDA code for?
<rz2k>
Q7 module has atleast three parts completely down and not working :) 1. their PMIC replacement done on MSP430 BGA MCU 2. FPGA/CPLD onboard connected to SDIO bus 3. because of 2 they have not met requirements of their own carrier board and it has com2&3 down.
<rz2k>
pmic is basically static, it does not control anything except voltage sequence
<rz2k>
why they put $5 mcu there is a question
<rz2k>
so dont expect much from SECO, sorry.
<rz2k>
jas-hacks_: the q7 module, they dont have public git and you have to sign NDA.

rz2k: it's surprising how these companies survive
<rz2k>
they are huuuuuge contractor in Italy/Europe for industrial applications
<rz2k>
the SoM and SBC is not their first priority
hste has quit [*.net *.split]
hste__ is now known as hste
<rz2k>
and udoo is their 'go for arduino market'
<rz2k>
arduino=eurpean universities
<jas-hacks_>
rz2k: did you hear about the Allwinner A80 Optimus Board?
<rz2k>
no, but I got Allwinner A23 SDK
<rz2k>
without NDA docs
<rz2k>
but code is here
<rz2k>
googled it
<rz2k>
I think I know who done the pcb design :)
<jas-hacks_>
it is cubie?
<rz2k>
yes
<jas-hacks_>
usb 3.0
<rz2k>
even the same SDIO WiFi as in CubieTruck
<rz2k>
and generally layout looks like it
<rz2k>
lol, allwinner's site gone down
