<JBD1986>
all, Can anyone help me verify 2D acceleration? I could see that gpu-viv-g2d was not being built, so I added it to my .conf, but I'm thinking there could be a bit more to the puzzle than that.
<hste>
JBD1986: I guess otavio might be the right person to ask. He knows yocto well

<JBD1986>
jas-hacks, I got 3D acceleration working with glxgears and openbox. That patch was the solution. I still have the 2D window dragging issue, and it is not isolated to openbox.
<JBD1986>
jas-hacks, Do you know how I can verify the vivante 2D library
<JBD1986>
also, I ran the samples that came with the library. g2d_test runs with console output, but I see nothing change on the screen
<jas-hacks>
glmark2 runs some of the 2d test
<jas-hacks>
however I don't think it is a 2d problem
<JBD1986>
g2d_overlay_test runs and displays an image on top of my desktop. If i move any window over that image, it starts to erase the image, and some artifacts occur
<JBD1986>
I can get the screen back to normal by moving my window off the desktop, and then putting it back in the middle of the desktop
<JBD1986>
basically it looks to me like 2D rendering is using the CPU instead of the 2D processor
<JBD1986>
but I am sure there are other issues at hand as well
<JBD1986>
there is also the possibility that some artifact is left over in my configuration from dylan branch
<JBD1986>
jas-hacks, i'm building glmark2 now btw

jas-hacks, running glmark2 right now
<JBD1986>
jas-hacks, what should the permissions be for libg2d.so?
<newell>
Do any of the fsl images (i.e. core-image-base etc.) contain ssh, sftp, etc?
<newell>
I suppose there is an easy way to look for this somehow
<JBD1986>
newell, just add the ones you want to your .bb for the image you're building. For my image .bb, I have CORE_IMAGE_EXTRA_INSTALL += "ditdesktop xterm-desktop-icon gvfs mesa-demos gpu-viv-g2d"
<JBD1986>
those are just a subset of the items I've added. You can just keep making items similar to CORE_IMAGE_EXTRA_INSTALL +=
