Hi! I have a Libreelec installation on a machine with two network cards, and I was wondering how to have no default route associated with one of the network interfaces. I can't seem to find a way specify "nothing" as default route for ac connection
<klemm>
(i.e. eth0 is for internet access, and will have default route, and no default route should be associated with eth1

<klemm>
obviously I can remove the unneeded route from ssh, but I want it to persist across reboots, and do it cleanly
<klemm>
I've tried looking in ~/.config about the network settings (since the Libreelec GUI don't let me do it) but have found nothing

apparently connmanctl also requires to put a gateway for each interface, so I guess what I want is not possible without some ugly hack...
<mack->
klemm: I probably can't help directly with your problem specifically, but libreelec uses connman to manage networking. connmanctl is the command to control connman. I think changes there are persistent across boots and stores settings in /storage/.cache/connman (probably not a good idea to edit those directly if connmanctl handles them)
<klemm>
Yep, i've looked at connman but it also requires a gateway IP
<klemm>
I'm trying to build a NAT gateway with a raspberry-pi running libreElec, I know it's not designed for that, but I'm currently stuck with no other option
<klemm>
I just need libreelec/connman/whatever stop managing eth1 altogether, or at least stop trying to add it a default route
<mack->
I see in the connman-service man page where gateway cab be omitted if static IP is set. Maybe a systemd service file with the parameters you need?
<klemm>
Well anyway, thanks, I'll look at the connman doc more toroughly, they may be useful info in here
<klemm>
Thanks, I didn't know about this manpage (don't have them installed on the device anyway, will look at them on the net)
<mack->
good luck :)
<klemm>
(the context of the story is that my ISP crapped on me, and I'm stuck with trying to provide access by mobile data to the whoule house)
<klemm>
And of course, during the weekend, in August. grumble grumble grumble. Anyway, thank you, your solution seems to fit what I need
