hi folks
<
paulk-leonov>
we're looking for a way to accelerate nv12 to nv12 scaling on sunxi
<
paulk-leonov>
(with hardware)
<
paulk-leonov>
do you know if that's possible with the GPU?
<
paulk-leonov>
I think the usual trick to go with 8-bit texture formats
<
paulk-leonov>
(aka luminance iirc)
<
paulk-leonov>
but last time we tried I think there were strong alignment requirements
<
paulk-leonov>
or something like that
<
paulk-leonov>
does that ring a bell?

paulk-leonov: hey
<
anarsoul>
there's 64-byte alignment requirement for textures
<
anarsoul>
but since colorspace conversion via shader works in mpv I guess you can do something similar
<
anarsoul>
you can also go with R8 format since lima supports it
<
anarsoul>
not natively though - IIRC it uses L8 internally
