<benoitm974> Hi Chewitt what would be the difference between the img you shared using the uenv x96-ait-4g with a compiled version of the kernel + the x96-air-4G from your github (https://github.com/chewitt/linux/tree/amlogic-5.11.y) ? Also I use a deboostrap from debian with broadcom non-free package.
<benoitm974> your img have wifi detected, your github compiled does not...
<chewitt> drivers need firmware
<chewitt> and nvram files
<chewitt> ^ that should get BT working
<chewitt> again, with firmware
<chewitt> most of the Desktop distros have wifi/bt firmware for USB devices, or repackage the linux-firmware repo, which is missing lots of brcm things
<chewitt> esp. sdio devices
<benoitm974> The debian package has all the SDIO one:https://packages.debian.org/buster/firmware-brcm80211
<chewitt> does it have the nvram files ?
<chewitt> brcmfmac mmc0:0001:1: Direct firmware load for brcm/brcmfmac4339-sdio.amediatech,x96-air-4g.txt failed with error -2
<chewitt> then it looks for brcm/brcmfmac4339-sdio.txt
<chewitt> (which is in my image)
<chewitt> if it doesn't find a board or generic nvram file, i'm not sure it works
<benoitm974> Yep you're right I was almost certain I've tried to provide a .txt nvram vut it is indeed not in the debian  :(
<benoitm974> thanks again
<chewitt> what's the manufacturer of your H96-Max box?
<chewitt> Shenzen Amediatech?
<benoitm974> Shenzhen Haochuangyi Technology Co.,Ltd
<chewitt> I'm guessing I'll have to add bindings for them :)
<chewitt> did you make any device-tree changes?
<benoitm974> Nope I've not touched dts et all yet your dts for the X96-air-4G map pretty well for now, I was trying the wifi yesterday
<benoitm974> And I'm still waiting for my ali express delivery of another box to see if it has gigabit to decide on wether I'll got with this one or not...
