wzyy2: nice! you'll try to mainline it? I'm not seeing rockchip's custom 10bits format, you'll just drop it? and I guess that you keep X rendering into OpenGL, not rga?

RGA in RK3288 don't support yuv 10bit, also i don't find suitable define in mainline kernel, so i just drop it..
<wzyy2>
"X rendering into OpenGL, not rga" yeah, we write drm rga driver for gui compoiste accel, but i find it's too slow to do it.
<wzyy2>
- -i think it could only be used in video/camera streaming...
<wzyy2>
RGA have a small size mmu, when it is used in gui compoiste accel, it will waste a lot of time in ceate/destory/flush buffer.

<beeble>
mmind00: would it be bad style to add arch/arm64/boot/dts/rockchip/ to MAINTAINERS in my own patchseries? just followed checkpatch suggestion to check it
athidhep has joined #linux-rockchip
<mmind00>
beeble: I think checkpatch means for your new dts file ... the "rockchip" regexp (the "N:" entry) should already be caught by get_maintainers.pl ... and indeed it is - just checked by scripts/get_maintainer.pl arch/arm64/boot/dts/rockchip/rk3399-firefly.dts
<mmind00>
beeble: but I don't think we're having maintainers entries for individual board devicetrees
<mmind00>
beeble: or checkpatch cannot cope with the regexp field
<beeble>
mmind00: i didn't want to add myself
<beeble>
ah i see, ok my perl is more then bad
<mmind00>
beeble: :-)
<beeble>
and now i'm frightend to send because get_maintainers fetched 20+ ppl
<beeble>
yolo or something like that
<mmind00>
beeble: hehe ... you can also trim that down a bit
<mmind00>
beeble: i.e. Will Deacn and Catalin won't really care about your devicetree :-)
<mmind00>
"open firmware" people are important, me and the lists
<beeble>
to late :)
<mmind00>
beeble: not really a problem ... they'll just ignore these
