<rperier>
hi, did someone succesfully flash ATF on the rk3368 ? by using trust_merger ?
<rperier>
I was using the default ATF until recently
<mmind00>
rperier: there is also sdram support for the rk3368 pending on some lists ... with that you should be able to use the regular spl -> atf -> u-boot process
<beeble>
we do have a modified atf for that
<beeble>
but only minor changes so spl will work
<rperier>
mmind00: I don't want to test everything in the same time, I was focusing on mainline kernel for now, that's not possible to only test the new ATF with the default bootloader ?
<mmind00>
rperier: that probably also possible, but I'd think way less people might've tested this
<rperier>
the problem is I have no doc for this soc, I have nothing, no TRM, no datasheet, except the stuffs I find on internet :)

<rperier>
and uboot for rk3368 only works from sdcard now, right ? (I cannot use it from sdcard, I don't have the landingship for my geekbox)
<mmind00>
rperier: all newer devices seem to use emmcs as main storage, so uboot should also be able to work from that?
<rperier>
mhhh, so I have to investigate in this case
<vagrantc>
it's been a while since i've tested, but installing u-boot on the firefly-rk3288 maybe a year ago ended up in having to short the eMMC in order to get it to boot off of microSD
<vagrantc>
it worked well enough to prevent anything else from working
<vagrantc>
granted, there have been a lot of updates since

<beeble>
emmc boot works fine with the spl patches
